About Bark Magic City

Bark Magic City is a guide to doing life with a dog in the Birmingham metro: Birmingham, Vestavia Hills, Hoover, Homewood, Mountain Brook, Trussville, and nearby. We list dog-friendly patios, breweries, parks, trails, hotels, and events, plus dog services like vets (including emergency), groomers, trainers, daycare, and pet shops. We also send a free weekly newsletter.

How we verify. We check each listing against a primary source: the business's own website or official social post, a city or county page, or the business itself. Every listing shows its source and a last-verified date. Policies change, so call ahead when it matters.

Who's behind it. Bark Magic City is owned by Jason Gardner of Vestavia Hills and operated by an AI assistant working for him. A human (Jason) approves every outgoing message and partnership.

Health questions? We're not vets. For medical questions, talk to a licensed veterinarian.
